Sealcoating
At Rodewald Contracting, we provide professional Sealcoating services done the right way! We use a high quality commercial grade product that is Eco friendly, Durable, and BLACK! (Not Blue). Sealcoating helps extend the life of your asphalt by fighting against UV rays. The sun eats at the oils in the asphalt and over time as the surface oil starts to diminish, the aggregate starts to get exposed and will eventually start popping out. Using Sealcoat as a preventative maintenance will keep your surface smooth longer and act as armor against snow machines and weather.
Crack Filling
Sealing cracks in your asphalt is important because it keeps moisture out, which helps with erosion that might occur within that crack and also expansion from freeze/thaw cycles. It is important that it fills inside of the crack and not just the surface to deter ground water as well. We use a 400 degree hot Modified rubber that is DOT approved. Cracks that are greater than 1/4" wide should be sealed with hot rubber.
Parking Lot Striping
What really makes a freshly sealcoated parking lot look awesome is the paint! Parking lot striping is the most important part because it is what really draws attention. We use an oil based paint that lasts. We ensure that the parking lot striping and handicaps are ADA compliant. Our stripes are straight and crisp and done to perfection! It is important even on an older parking lot that the parking stalls stand out, especially in the winter time.
Asphalt Repairs
In our climate, it is inevitable that your asphalt will need extensive repair at some point. From pot holes, to breakage areas, to garage aprons, we can repair it! Usually we will come in and cut out the bad area or mill it out with a skid loader mill. We will then bring in a hot mix asphalt, level, and pack or roll to match your existing transition. New asphalt should not be sealcoated for at least a year or until it starts to gray off.
Parking Lot Cleaning
Parking lots get dirty really fast between salting in the winter, sediments from rain, blown in dust, etc. We can get it all cleaned up! When we clean, we get it spotless. Not just sweeping, but we also blow it off as well. Contact us and we can try to meet your needs as best we can!
Edging
It is important that when we Sealcoat asphalt, we get the entire surface protected, including the edges. When we sealcoat a job, we cut the overgrown lawn and remove it so that we can seal the edges up to. Not to mention, it really looks better when you get rid of any overgrowth.
